History
The Red Sea is the culmination of more than 14 years of prayer, listening, discussion, and planning. An initial endeavour to establish the centre was made in 2009, however, the timing was not quite right. In 2019, the concept for the centre was presented at the South Pacific Member Care Conference in Dunedin, New Zealand, where it received overwhelming support and encouragement.
Since then, we steadfastly pursued the objective, benefiting from the invaluable support, counsel, and guidance of numerous mission agencies. The establishment of our Board in July 2021 marked a pivotal moment, providing us with a solid foundation of expertise and insight. In February 2022, our Board appointed Mark van Rossen and his wife Lorene, to lead the establishment of The Red Sea Counselling and Member Care centre and see the vision take form.
Today our doors are open, and we feel so grateful and blessed to have had such support as we grow in our mission to support the Christian cross-cultural community to find healing and resilience for the future.
