Are you looking for a new challenge?

  • Perhaps you are coming to the end of a season of working in a cross-cultural context outside your home or in a near culture nation, and you are praying about what the next step might be.
  • Perhaps you are wondering how you can use the years of accumulated wisdom and experience to pour into another opportunity that serves the global mission vision.
  • Or perhaps you are unsure of what’s next and are open to using your gift-mix in an interim role.

The Red Sea is proactively looking for an individual or couple who could commit to the Director role for a period of between 18 months and 3 years. This is a support-raising position, so the successful candidate will need to come with their own support raised, or with the ability to self-fund while support raising.

Whilst our centre is in Cairns, Australia, there is flexibility around the Director’s location coupled with the desire for the Director to be present in Cairns for 4-6 weeks per quarter.

The Red Sea Counselling and Member Care Centre is seeking applications for the role of Counsellor. The candidate will need to have significant and relevant cross cultural mission experience, tertiary qualifications from a recognised tertiary institution (Bachelor’s degree minimum) in either counselling, psychology, or social work with membership in a relevant professional association (PACFA, Australian Association of Christian Counsellors etc.) and have a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in a private clinical setting.
